2024 Fall All CIF Selections



It’s been an incredible fall season for the Dons, with multiple City League and CIF San Diego Section titles and a CIF State title. We had so many of our athletes earning All-CIF honors for their exceptional performances! Congratulations to all our Cathedral Catholic athletes who were named to their respective All-League and All-CIF teams for their outstanding efforts during their fall season.

Highlighting our standouts:

  • Mae Kordas ’25 was named CIF Player of the Year, and Maya Evens ’25 earned CIF Libero of the Year, leading the girls’ volleyball team to their fourth straight Open Division CIF Title and another CIF State Open Championship!
  • Kenly Braylen Axline ’27 was named CIF Player of the Year as he helped lead his team to another CIF Open Division title and a State semifinal finish.
  • Kristin Brandeberry (Girls Golf) and Tommy Corcoran (Boys Water Polo) earned CIF Coach of the Year honors, with each guiding their teams to CIF titles.
  • Cathedral Catholic had 6 athletes named as League Athlete of the Year in their respective sports: Nathan Wilber ’26 (Cross Country), “Sina” Sinalei Talataina ’25 (Flag Football Offense), Ellaclair Leedom ’25 (Girls Golf), Alanis Huang ’27 (Girls Tennis), Eamon Bruhn ’27 (Boys Water Polo), and Mae Kordas ’25 (Girls Volleyball).
  • Cathedral Catholic had 53 athletes named to All-League teams and 22 named to All-CIF teams.
