On Monday, Sophomore Samuel Pothier posted his second shutout of the season in a 6-0 win over Escondido Charter with several players scoring throughout.

Then on Wednesday, in a rematch with last year’s champions Del Norte High School, the Dons trailed 7-6 with a minute and a half remaining in the contest. Both teams had been going back and forth in a great game that had a championship feel to it. In a gutsy move, Coach Pete Sciabarra decided to pull the goalie in favor of an extra skater and team Captain Senior Matt Matsuda scored the tying goal! Del Norte didn’t have time to respond and the game resulted in a tie. 

The Dons are currently 4-2-1 on the season and look to build on their latest result when they take on Scripps Ranch High School on Wednesday at 6 PM.
