Cathedral Catholic girls golf picked up back-to-back victories last week, defeating Mission Bay 216-225 on September 22 at Torrey Pines before earning a 219-236 win over La Jolla on September 24 at Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club.

Against Mission Bay, Charlotte Wang ‘29 led the Dons with a 39, followed by Scarlet Armstrong (40), Joanna Tilker (41), Giada Germain (47), Ava Bandel (49), and Isla Hajnik (57).

The Dons followed with another strong team performance against La Jolla, led by Tilker’s even-par 36. Wang carded a 42, followed by Bandel (46), Armstrong (47), Reagan Griffith (48), and Aubrey Chargualaf (49).

With the two wins, Cathedral improved to 6-3 overall and 4-2 in league play. Wang currently sits third in the league and among the top 30 golfers in San Diego County with a 3.14 differential, while the Dons are ranked 12th in the county with a team differential of 33.81.

Cathedral returns to action this week with three matches on the schedule as the team continues to prepare for CIF competition.
