To our Dons Athletic Community,

We are excited for the 2023-2024 school year to begin. For students interested in participating in sports during the upcoming 2023-24 school year, our athletic department has important information regarding the athletic clearance process. 

There are 3 main steps every prospective student-athlete must complete before participating in any sport at Cathedral Catholic.

1. Complete the online athletic forms

• Cathedral Catholic High School Athletic Department utilizes the third party website www.athleticclearance.com for athletic registration. Parents must register their student(s) for each sport they will be participating in. If your student-athlete plays multiple sports, you can ADD another sport on the confirmation page of the online forms. You do not need to complete a 2nd registration for the additional sport.
• Athletic Clearance for the 2023-24 school year will open on June 3, 2023.

2. Complete and turn in an updated school physical that MUST be dated on or after June 3, 2023

• The 2023-24 physical form can be found here. The physical must be dated on or after June 3, 2023 to be valid for this school year. 

3. Pick up Clearance Card from the athletic office PRIOR to the first day of tryouts/practice

• Once the above steps have been completed, the athletic department will generate a Clearance Card that students MUST pick up prior to the 1st day of tryouts/practice. Clearance Cards are mandatory for each student-athlete to participate in any sport at Cathedral Catholic High School. The student-athlete WILL NOT be allowed to participate without the Clearance Card produced by the athletic department. 
• If your student-athlete plays multiple sports, please note that they must come to the athletic office to receive a new Clearance Card for each sport they go out for.

Important Special Note: ALL TRANSFER STUDENTS must also meet with the one of the Athletic Directors before they can be cleared to participate. Please reach out to athletics (if you haven’t been in contact already) at athleticdirectors@cchsdons.com to set up an appointment. This process can take some time so please don’t wait to set up an appointment. 
We are excited to be able to host our own Athletic Physical Night on campus for any student athlete looking for a place to get it done. We will have approximately ten physicians on site on Thursday, June 29th from 4-6pm in the theater. This will be a walk in, first come first serve, and the cost will be $30.
