This week the Dons went 1-1. On Monday night Sophomore goaltender Sam Pothier posted his first shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over Poway High School. Sophomore Nate Clark opened the scoring and senior Captain Matt Matsuda added two more for the Dons to help seal the victory.

On Wednesday night the Dons fell to Westview High School 7-3. The game was a tight one goal contest until Westview broke open the scoring in the third period. Highlight of the night though was the first ever goal scored by a female hockey player as Sophomore Madeline Brown scored in the second period. Matt Matsuda ’24 and Brady Nelson ’26 recorded the other goals for Cathedral.
