Field Hockey Battles at West Coast Classic, Finishes 2-2

Cathedral Catholic’s field hockey team competed this weekend at the West Coast Classic Tournament hosted by Torrey Pines, finishing with a 2-2 record. Although the results didn’t fully meet the Dons’ goals, their growth and teamwork demonstrated positive progress for this young team this season. They showed great determination throughout the tournament and plan to build on this experience as the second round of league games approaches.

A special congratulations to #3 Audrey Zolfaghari ’26, who was named to the All-Tournament Team for her outstanding performance.

The Dons opened the tournament with a strong, shutout victory.

After trailing at halftime, Cathedral rallied in the second half with two goals to secure the win.

9/20 – vs Canyon Crest Academy | L 2-1 (shootout)
The Dons equalized the game in the second half to force a shootout, but ultimately fell just short.

Despite a strong effort, the Dons were unable to overcome Gilroy in their final game.
