Granite Hills baseball coach/AD James Davis and Cathedral Catholic girls soccer coach Dawn Lee to receive Model Coach Award

The CIF State office announced its 2022-23 Model Coach winners while the California Coaches Association honored coaches and administrators statewide.

Now in its 22^nd year, the CIF Model Coach Award program is designed to recognize coaches who have served as positive role models in their communities, and who have exhibited the traits apparent in the 16 principles of “Pursuing Victory with Honor.”

James Davis, baseball coach at Granite Hills, and Dawn Lee, girls soccer coach at Cathedral Catholic, were named Model Coach Award winners by the CIF State office.

Davis, who is also the athletic director at Granite Hills, has coached the Eagles for more than 20 years.

Lee has been the girls soccer coach at Cathedral Catholic for 25 years.
