PCISA Women’s Invitational at Mission Bay Yacht Club (Oct 19-20)
The Dons sailing team proudly competed in the 2024 ISSA-PCISA National All Girls Invitational this past weekend, hosted at the Mission Bay Yacht Club. The regatta saw participation from 29 teams nationwide, making for an exciting two-day event. Light winds on Saturday challenged the sailors, but a fresh breeze on Sunday provided better conditions for racing.

The team had an excellent weekend overall, and the invitational served as an important stepping stone for these talented young athletes.

At the Sea Otter Regatta in Monterey, the Dons varsity sailors faced light and shifty conditions, with a bit of fog and sea life adding to the challenge. Despite these obstacles, the Dons rose to the occasion, with two teams representing the school in the 64-team field.

The Sea Otter Regatta was a valuable learning experience for all participants and demonstrated the depth of talent within the Dons’ sailing program.
