The Dons once again delivered strong performances across the team, with their doubles pairs taking the lead. Sisters Sophia Miyamoto ‘28 and Victoria Miyamoto ‘30 were perfect on the day, going 2-0 with convincing wins of 6-2 and 6-0. Grace Gazzo ‘27 and Muhe Chen ‘30 also went 2-0, winning 6-1 and 6-1. Marisa Eiguren ‘28 and Peyton Suiter ‘29 completed a perfect 2-0 day in doubles, earning wins of 6-3 and 6-2.

In singles, Elizabeth Klein ‘30 continued her impressive start to the season, going 2-0 with victories of 6-2 and 6-3. Samantha Rich ‘28 added a 6-3 win, while Riley Blake ‘30 battled to a 7-6(3) victory.

The young Dons have swiftly proven themselves as a confident, competitive team. After beginning the season with an 11-7 victory over Bishop’s, Cathedral Catholic continued their strong performance on the road against La Jolla. With a 2-0 record and an early win in the Western League, they are off to an impressive start.
